Literature Development is a program for students who are struggling readers, writers, speakers, and spellers.  This program provides explicit, orderly instruction.

Cumulative and sequential multi-sensory activities engage students while establishing skills to succeed in Language Arts curriculum.  When using the Literature Development Program the student’s phonemic awareness and phonics, word recognition and spelling, vocabulary and morphology, and grammar and usage strengthens.

When students achieve in these abilities they will have a foundation to read and listen to multiple levels of text selections.  The student can build content background, vocabulary, comprehension skills, and fluency.  A student can then organize thoughts, able to write increasingly sophisticated text, and communicate effectively through the writing process.
